Modesto Lewis Perez serves as an Adjunct Professor at St. John's Seminary, tasked with preparing seminary students to navigate issues related to marriage within contemporary society, while also teaching the theological foundations of sacramentality and marriage. Concurrently, Modesto holds the position of Pastor at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and has been actively involved in the Cursillo Movement since 2000 as the Archdiocesan Spiritual Director, having earlier served as the Spiritual Director for the English-speaking group. Modesto's extensive experience includes roles as Pastor at All Souls Catholic Church, Professor of Canon Law at St. John's Seminary, and the Episcopal Vicar for Canonical Services at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, where responsibilities included offering canonical advice and evaluating marriage dispensations. Modesto holds multiple degrees in Canon Law, Theological Studies, and Law from esteemed institutions including the Pontifical Gregorian University and the University of California, Davis.
