Wilson Orr has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Wilson began their career in 1984 as Vice President at Chemical Bank (Chemical New York Corporation) and worked there until 1988. In 1988, they joined SSM Partners as Managing Partner, where they invested in rapidly growing, privately-held companies. In 1994, Orr became a member of the Board of Directors at Direct General Corporation, and they served in this role until 2003. In 2001, they took on the position of Chairman of the Board at Kirkland's Home and also joined Employease as a member of their Board of Directors. Wilson served as Chairman of the Board at Kirkland's Home until present. Wilson'sinvolvement with Employease ended in 2006. In 2008, Orr joined the Board of Directors at All Web Leads, Inc., and they served in this role until 2011. In 2012, they became a member of the Board of Directors at OpinionLab, a Verint Company, and their tenure with them ended in 2016.

Wilson Orr attended Vanderbilt University from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
