Stephen Baker is an accomplished procurement professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Director of Procurement at SSE Thermal since May 2019. Prior roles include leadership positions in procurement and commercial services across various divisions of SSE, including Head of Procurement & Commercial Services for Thermal Energy and Head of Procurement & Commercial for Offshore at SSE Renewables. Stephen's career began in quantity surveying, holding significant roles in firms such as Bovis Lend Lease and Tarmac/Wimpey Construction, ultimately transitioning to management in the NHS. Stephen holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University.
