Ian Shaw is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Engineering Offshore - Electrical Grid and Control Systems at SSE Renewables since September 2012. With a robust background that includes roles as Electrical Engineering Manager and Lead Electrical Engineer, Ian has led significant projects such as the 227MW Stronelairg Wind Farm, focusing on electrical design and management for onshore wind farms. Prior to SSE Renewables, Ian worked at Babcock as an Electrical Engineer and HV SAP. Academically, Ian holds an MSc in Project Management from the University of Strathclyde, an MSc in Building Services, and a BEng (Hons) in Electrical Power Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University.
