Mike Winter has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Mike began their career in 1990 as an Analyst Programmer at Zurich and later worked as a COGEN Consultant at CSC in 1997. In 1998, they joined Legal and General as a Senior Analyst Programmer. From 2006 to 2008, Mike worked as a Technical Consultant at Steria. Mike then joined Scottish and Southern Energy in 2009 as an Application Architect, where they worked on various projects and utilized technologies such as Oracle CC&B and Siebel. In 2012, Mike moved to SSE plc as a Solution Architect, specializing in integration. Mike held multiple roles at SSE, including Principal Solution Architect, Lead Solution Architect, and Senior Solution Architect. Finally, in 2017, they became a Lead Solution Architect at SSE Business Energy, where they provided governance and solution architecture definition across projects.
Mike Winter attended the University of Sussex from 1982 to 1985, where they obtained a 2.1 degree in Modern History. Mike later pursued a degree in Computer Science at City, University of London from 1987 to 1988, earning a 1st class distinction. Additionally, Mike studied Information Technology at City, University of London, although the start and end years are unspecified.
