Erika Dvorske has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Erika began their career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Adjunct Faculty at The University of Kansas, where they taught writing and literature courses and also played a role in coordinating curriculum expectations and training new instructors. Erika then worked as a Report Writing Consultant for the City of Lawrence Firefighters before joining the United Way of Wyandotte County. At the United Way, they served as the Director of Research & Marketing, Director of Community Investment, and later as the President/CEO of United Way of Douglas County. In these roles, they were responsible for developing funding priorities, managing budgets, leading staff, and championing community impact initiatives. In their most recent position as the Chief Operating Officer at SSC CPAs + Advisors, Erika oversaw the company's operations and served as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Development. Their responsibilities included providing back-office support to businesses, expanding services for nonprofit organizations, and developing partnerships in the business and philanthropic community. Erika's work experience demonstrates their expertise in leadership, strategic planning, community engagement, and operational management.

Erika Dvorske has pursued a strong educational background in the field of languages and literature. Erika began their education at The University of Tulsa from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and Russian. Following this, they attended The University of Kansas from 1996 to 1998 and acquired a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Slavic Languages & Literatures. During the same period at The University of Kansas, they also pursued another M.A. degree, this time in English, and completed it in 2000.

In addition to their formal education, Erika Dvorske has also obtained additional certifications to enhance their expertise. In March 2019, they completed the Data Analytics Executive Program offered by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. Erika further supplemented their knowledge by earning a Not-for-Profit Certificate II from the AICPA in April 2018.
