Okan Yilmaz, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Engineering at SS8 Networks and is a member of The Human Gathering, a private network for influential leaders. With a rich background in engineering and academia, Okan has held significant roles such as Technical Director of Engineering at Federated Wireless and Vice President of Engineering at SS8 Networks Inc. Okan also contributed to education as an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Tech and the University of the District of Columbia. Okan's extensive experience spans over two decades in software engineering, having held positions at prominent companies including NeuStar and Auxin Security. Okan's academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and multiple degrees in Computer Engineering from Bilkent University. Currently, Okan is pursuing an MBA at Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business.
