Malaka Wasantha Kumara is an experienced professional in the insurance industry, currently serving as the Branch Manager at Sri Lanka Insurance since October 2018, after holding the position of Branch Sales Manager at the same company. Prior to this role, Malaka worked as a Branch Manager at AIA Sri Lanka from July 2015 to October 2018. Malaka's extensive career began at Union Assurance PLC, where roles included Unit Development Manager, Agency Manager, Agency Leader, and Insurance Advisor from August 2001 to June 2015, focusing on team recruitment, people development, and business promotion. Malaka holds a degree in Arts from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, completed between 2008 and 2013, and has qualifications in Biological Science and GCE O/L from A/Niwaththakachethiya College and Ranpathvila College, respectively.
