Toby J Sutton OBE has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. In 2002, they co-founded Scanning Pens Ltd and has since expanded the company to include subsidiaries such as Scanning Pens Inc, Scanning Pens Pty Ltd, Scanning Pens Corp, and Scanning Pens (India) Pvt Ltd. Toby J also co-founded Empowering Tech, which is the holding company for Scanning Pens Holdings Ltd, Succeed With Dyslexia Ltd, Squid People Ltd, and Wizcom Tech Ltd. Additionally, Toby is the owner of Wizcom Tech, a company specializing in pen scanner technology. Prior to these ventures, they held leadership roles in companies like e-pens Ltd, Great Britain Shop Ltd, and Winston Churchill Shop Ltd. Toby J also has experience in product development, owning a business called E-Loft, and owning Student Life. Throughout their career, Toby has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial drive and a passion for empowering individuals with dyslexia.

Toby J Sutton OBE's education history includes attending Gresham's School from 1989 to 1994, where they completed their GCSEs and A Levels. Toby J then went on to Oxford Brookes University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a BSc (Honours) degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management. Additionally, Sutton pursued further education at The Open University from 2022 to 2029, earning a BA (Honours) degree in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics.
