Ryan McCartney is a quantitative researcher at Squarepoint Capital since September 2022. Prior experience includes serving as the Head of Base Metals and Co-Head of Base Metals at Morgan Stanley from December 2019 to September 2022, where Ryan McCartney played a key role in establishing the firm's Base Metals trading desk. Previous roles at Morgan Stanley include positions as a Commodities-Credit Hybrids Trading Associate and Analyst, as well as a Commodities Analyst, contributing to trading operations in North American power, gas, and global crude markets. Ryan McCartney also gained experience at Trafigura in base metals and completed several internships at Morgan Stanley, including a summer analyst role in the Fixed Income & Commodities Division. Educational background includes a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London obtained between 2010 and 2014.
