Michael Sills-Lavoie is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in various industries, including finance and medical technology. Currently employed at Squarepoint Capital since August 2016, Michael has previously held roles as a Senior Software Developer in the iASSIST team at Zimmer Biomet, contributing to the development of Total Knee Arthroplasty products. Earlier experiences include positions as a Laboratory Instructor and Research Assistant at École Polytechnique de Montréal, where Michael focused on operating system kernels, LTTng streaming architecture, and computer vision algorithms, leading to multiple publications. Additional internships at CAE involved developing navigation systems for flight operations. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and a D.E.C in Pure and Applied Sciences from CEGEP - Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
