Amartya Kumar is a Quantitative Research Developer at Squarepoint Capital since May 2023. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from March 2021 to May 2023 and working as a Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics from July 2019 to February 2021, where contributions included developing a machine learning model for genre classification of songs and the Sound Mirroring feature for Sero TV. Earlier roles involved internships at Samsung Electronics and Microsoft, as well as a position as an Associate Mentor for the Student Mentorship Program at IIT Roorkee. Amartya Kumar holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, completing the degree in 2019.
