Smit Patel has a range of work experience in the field of product engineering and research. They started their career at Sprinklr as a Product Engineer Intern in January 2020 and continued in various roles such as Product Engineer, Senior Product Engineer, and Lead Product Engineer. Their internship ended in June 2020. In 2019, Smit had a summer internship at Sprinklr. In 2018, they worked as a Summer Researcher at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, where they focused on understanding and applying Natural Language Processing concepts for email spam classification.

Smit Patel completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Information and Communication Technology at the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology from 2016 to 2020. Additionally, they obtained the ACM ICPC certification from the ICPC - International Collegiate Programming Contest in December 2019 and the Codechef SnackDown 2019 certification from CodeChef in March 2019.
