Lisa Kenkel has over 30 years of experience in the legal industry. In 1990, they began their career as an associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Lisa then moved on to Corel Corporation in 1993, where they served as General Counsel. In 1998, they became a Partner at Fenwick & West LLP, where they remained until 2012. In 2012, they became the Director of the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, a non-profit organization providing free legal services and advocacy for low-income people in the region. In 2017, they took on the role of Advisor at Coding Dojo. In 2020, they became the Director of Whistler Community Services Society. In 2014, they took on the role of Director at Springworks Farm, a sustainable farming organization in Maine.
Lisa Kenkel attended Queen's University from 1982 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biochemistry. Lisa then attended York University - Osgoode Hall Law School from 1985 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
