In July 2021, Slandie Dieujuste (Dah-Juice), PhD, joined Springfield College as Vice President for Student Affairs. The Division of Student Affairs includes the following offices and programs: Spiritual Life, Community Standards, Alcohol and Other Drug Education, Dean of Students, Undergraduate Student Orientation Programs, Career Center, Counseling Center, Housing and Residence Life, Student Activities and Campus Union, Campus Recreation, Center for Service and Leadership, and the Health Center.
Dieujuste brings with her almost 20 years of higher education administration experience, comprised of leadership experiences at small to large public and private institutions.
She has extensive experience in creating and implementing new programs that strengthen the student experience. She is known for her keen ability in creating engaging and inclusive communities that elevate the student voice and advance their success.
Dieujuste holds a PhD in Higher Education Administration from Andrews University, MA in Higher education Administration and BA from Boston College. She is also a graduate of HERS, an institute that strengthens the leadership and development of women. Dieujuste has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses and served on doctoral level dissertation committees.
Dieujuste is an active member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and the Association for Student Conduct Administration, serving as a state representative for a number of years. Her research interests lie in Title IX compliance, inclusion and diversity and college student development.
