Samana Karki is currently a Student Assistant at Springfield College, supporting the administrative associate in the Literature, Writing & Journalism department since January 2023. In addition to this role, Samana serves as a Residential Assistant, fostering a friendly community environment under the supervision of Resident Life and collaborating with a Co-Resident Assistant. Previous experience includes working as a Refugee Health Intern at Jewish Family Service of Western Massachusetts, where responsibilities involved case management, advocacy for health services, and teaching health orientation classes. Samana also engaged with patients in a Patient Care role at the Mental Health Association, gaining insights into mental health challenges. Earlier experience as a Summer Camp Counselor at Camp Massasoit involved mentoring campers in various developmental areas. Samana is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Springfield College, expected to graduate in 2026, following studies at Capital College and Research Center.
