Naomy Ndungu Ed.D has extensive experience in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), currently serving in Springfield City School District since July 2022 after a tenure at Horizon Science Academy Columbus Elementary. Naomy's academic background includes a Doctor of Education degree from Ashland University, with a dissertation focused on the impact of culture on the learning experiences of immigrant students. Previous roles include patient service representative at Rocking Horse Community Health Center, adjunct professor at Ohio Christian University, and a faculty member at Kenyatta University and RBM College. Naomy's teaching experience spans over three decades, including serving as a dean of students and teaching various subjects in high school.
