Anna Mickelsen has extensive experience in library and information services, currently serving as the Adult Information Services Supervisor at Springfield City Library since May 2008. In this role, Anna oversees the daily operations and scheduling of the reference desks, exercising independent professional judgment under the guidance of the Manager of Public Services. Prior positions include Reference Librarian at both Springfield City Library and Westfield Athenaeum, where Anna assisted patrons with various inquiries and managed departmental tasks. Additional experience includes serving as a Freelance Editor for the National Collegiate Inventors & Innovators Alliance and holding office management roles in nonprofit settings. Anna holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Simmons University, a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Denison University.
