As a former English teacher and current software engineer, Temani understands the impact reading and technology can have on the life of a child and is excited by the opportunity to merge these two passions to help make a unique change in the world. Temani holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from The University of Alabama and a Master’s of Arts in English Education from the University of Montevallo. Before joining the Springboard team, Temani worked as a middle school English teacher for six years, then transitioned careers to become a software engineer, the field in which she’s worked for the past five years. She first joined Springboard as a Product Owner, helping build technology solutions in support of Springboard programming. She now works leading the Engineering and Quality Assurance functional teams and supporting the larger Product team goals and priorities. Her favorite children’s book series is The Adventures of the Bailey School Kids by co-authored by Marcia T. Jones and Debbie Dadey and illustrated by John Steven Gurney.
