Ben Fleming is an accomplished legal scholar with extensive experience in international human rights law. Since January 2017, Ben has served as an Adjunct Professor at South Texas College of Law Houston and has been a Visiting Professor at Spring University Myanmar since August 2022. Alongside these roles, Ben is an Advisor to NUG Minister of Human Rights, U Aung Myo Min, and an Advisory Committee Member at Spring University Myanmar. Additionally, Ben holds positions as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, where Ben has been since June 2016, and leads the University Human Rights Education initiative in Myanmar. Previous experience includes working with the United Nations at the Khmer Rouge Tribunal and serving as a Consultant for the Open Society Justice Initiative. Ben holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree with honors from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin.
