Joe Ellsmere has worked in the engineering field since 2013. From 2013-2014, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at Dalhousie University, where they developed customizable compliance tubing for use in endovascular stent graft research. Joe designed a molding process to cast elastomer tubing and constructed an automated testing machine to quantify the consistency and compliance of elastomer tubing. In 2014, they joined Spring Loaded Technology as the Director of Engineering: Development and Design Engineer. In this role, they worked to develop the world's first bionic knee bracing technology to enhance the strength and power of leg muscles.
Joe Ellsmere attended Dalhousie University from 2011 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering.
