Ruby Rivera has a diverse work experience in the mental health and social work fields. Ruby started their career as an Early Head Start Home Visitor at the Community Action Partnership of Ramsey & Washington Counties in 2010 and worked in that role until 2016. In 2017, they transitioned to a role as a Child Protective Specialist at Ramsey County until 2018. From there, they worked as a Library Social Worker at the Saint Paul Public Library from March 2018 to October 2021. In 2018, they also joined the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation as a Mental Health Professional and continues to work in that role. Most recently, they joined Spring Health in October 2021 as a Mental Health Therapist. Ruby has a strong background in mental health and social work and has worked with diverse populations throughout their career.

Ruby Rivera earned a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of North Dakota, completing their studies in 2008. The start year of their education is not specified.
