Athira Pratap has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Athira currently works as a Clinical Medical Assistant at Spring Fertility. Previously, they had a long-standing role as a Performing Artist at Nritanjali Dance Academy, where they received national recognition for their Bharatanatyam performances and played a key role in a major dance production. Athira also worked as a Human Cadaveric Anatomy and Physiology Instructor at Keck School of Medicine, conducting research on the effects of a specific drug on fetal development. Additionally, Athira Pratap has been actively involved in advocacy work with organizations such as PERIOD, where they led state-level policy advocacy efforts and organized national collection drives for period products. Athira has also held leadership positions at the University of Southern California, including President of United Students for Veterans' Health. Athira Pratap has a diverse education history. Athira obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Integrative Anatomical Sciences from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Neuroscience with a focus on Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 2017 to 2021.
In addition to their degrees, Athira also pursued a certification in Emergency Medicine. In 2018, they obtained an EMT certification from Unitek EMT, enhancing their knowledge and skills in this field. Athira's high school education took place at Moreau Catholic High School from 2013 to 2017, and they attended Stratford Middle School from 2011 to 2013.
Beyond their academic achievements, Athira has a passion for performing arts. Athira received training in Indian Classical Dance, specifically Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam, at the Nritanjali Dance Academy starting from 2003.
