Brian Burnsed is an accomplished writer with extensive experience in sports journalism. Currently serving as a Contributing Writer for Sports Illustrated since June 2017, Brian has authored immersive features and profiles, including cover stories and interviews with notable athletes and sports executives. Previously, Brian held key editorial roles at StoryTerrace as the Editorial Team Lead for the U.S., overseeing over 60 book projects, and at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee as an Editor and Web Producer during the 2021 Tokyo Games. Brian's experience also includes significant contributions to NCAA.com as the lead college football columnist, and a background in education reporting at U.S. News & World Report. A graduate of Emory University with a BA in Journalism and Creative Writing, and a Master's in Sports Journalism from Indiana University Indianapolis, Brian has built a strong foundation in media and editorial management throughout a diverse career in the industry.
