Lev Akabas is a Data Reporter at Sportico since May 2020, responsible for creating data visualizations and writing articles about sports business trends, particularly in the NBA and sports analytics. Prior experience includes serving as Arts and Entertainment Editor for the Cornell Daily Sun, where Lev wrote columns and designed print pages, and interning at The New York Times, focusing on data visualization and content management system improvements. Additional internships include SLAM, where Lev covered basketball topics, and Movable Ink, enhancing internal communication through dashboard development. Earlier experience includes a role at The Mellman Group analyzing polling data. Lev holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, completed in 2019, following education at Stuyvesant High School.
