Maik Franz is an experienced professional in the sports industry, currently serving as Geschäftsführer at 11teamsports Academy since May 2022. Simultaneously, Maik holds the position of Vize Präsident at VDV Spielergewerkschaft and is a member of the DFB Sportgerichts since March 2022. Additionally, Maik has been an expert and co-moderator at SPORT1 GmbH since November 2021. Previously, Maik was a member of the management board at ALPHA SPORTS GmbH and served as the sportlicher Leiter for 1. FC Magdeburg from January 2016 to June 2020. Maik has also contributed as a Bundesliga expert for Amazon and worked in football moderation for Sky. Maik began a professional football career with Hertha BSC and Eintracht Frankfurt, transitioning to management roles after retiring from playing.
