F. Gordon Spoor is a Principal at Spoor Bunch Franz. Gordon founded Spoor + Associates, P.A. in 1974. He is responsible for the Firm’s estate, trust and litigation support divisions. With more than 40 years of professional experience, Gordon is a trusted and respected member of the accounting community. He is co-author of The Fiduciary Accounting Answer Book (CCH) and Fiduciary Accounting For Florida (FICPA), and has also authored numerous technical articles. He serves as a discussion leader for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) courses, and has been awarded an “Outstanding Discussion Leader” award every year he has been a discussion leader since 1992. Gordon is also the recipient of a 2000-2001 Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) Presidential Service Award, as a result of his efforts as the lead representative on the FICPA’s Florida Uniform Principal and Income Act task force.

Gordon has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of South Florida. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed to practice in Florida and Georgia, a Personal Financial Specialist, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and a Registered Investment Advisor. Gordon is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the FICPA, the FICPA Federal Tax Committee (Chairman 2010-2011), Chairman of the AICPA Fiduciary Accounting Task Force, member of the AICPA Trust Estate and Gift Technical Resource Panel from 2004-2013 (Chairman 2009-2011) and a member of the AICPA Tax Executive Committee from 2012-2016. He also served on a joint committee composed of the FICPA, The Florida Bar and the Florida Bankers Association, regarding the revising of Florida’s Principal and Income Act. Gordon currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Down Syndrome Society. Earlier in his career, Gordon served on the FICPA Board of Governors for two years, as Chair of the FICPA State Tax Section for two years, and as Chair of the FICPA’s Legislative Policy Committee for one year. Gordon is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of St. Petersburg.
