Sagar Chavan is a seasoned Senior Structural Stress Engineer, currently leading the "Advanced Product Development" group at Spirit AeroSystems since February 2015, focusing on advanced composite materials, manufacturing processes, and aircraft concept proposals. With prior experience at Airbus as a Senior Stress Engineer on the A350 Program, Sagar also managed global teams at both Spirit AeroSystems and Infosys, contributing to significant projects such as the Boeing 777X and Aerion AS2 Programs. Earlier career roles include Lead Engineer at GE Aviation, specializing in aircraft engine analysis, and a Research Fellow at TU Berlin. Sagar holds an M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Technische Universität, alongside a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Vishwakarma Institute Of Technology.
