Douglas Hovey is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technical business development and pharmaceutical product management. Currently serving as the Technical Business Development Manager for North America at SPI Pharma since October 2019, Hovey previously held roles including Area Technical Manager at Colorcon® and Technical Development Manager at Iroko Pharmaceuticals. Hovey's expertise encompasses managing product development activities from optimization to commercialization, collaborating with various functional teams to achieve technical and regulatory goals. Early in the career, Hovey worked as a Senior Research Associate at Elan Pharmaceuticals, focusing on formulation and scale-up studies, and began as a Compound Distribution Assistant at R.W. Johnson PRI. Hovey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Ursinus College, attained between 1990 and 1995.
