Crystal Backus is an experienced admissions professional with a robust background in educational institutions. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Speyer School since July 2021, Crystal previously held various leadership roles at Brooklyn Friends School from July 2005 to June 2021, where responsibilities included conducting interviews with prospective students, organizing welcome events, leading the Student Ambassador Program, and monitoring admissions trends to enhance enrollment. Prior to that, Crystal gained experience in customer service and recruitment at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Essex Temporary Services, respectively. Crystal holds a Master of Professional Studies in Arts and Cultural Management from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from The George Washington University.
