VP Sales EEM Latam at Speedcast

Dora Milena Mejia has a wealth of experience in the telecommunications industry. Dora Milena began their career as the Communications Department Director at Carvajal S.A., where they managed data and voice networks for offices in multiple countries and led a team responsible for network maintenance. Dora Milena then transitioned to work as a Telecommunications Consultant, specializing in analyzing telecommunications expenses and implementing savings plans for clients.

In 2001, Mejia joined Verestar as a Terrestrial Product Manager, where they successfully deployed a consistent terrestrial product across 11 teleports worldwide. Dora Milena also served as a Terrestrial and IP Product Manager, coordinating a diverse team to deploy the product within four months.

In 2004, Mejia joined NewCom International, Inc. as the Provisioning and Planning Director, overseeing satellite space segment, internet access, and terrestrial services provisioning and planning. Dora Milena also played a key role in pricing definition for integrated services and vendor management. Dora Milena later served as the Americas, EMEA, and Emerging Markets Senior Sales & Business Development Vice President, responsible for driving business growth and developing a global presence for the company.

Mejia's impressive career continued with the acquisition of NewCom International by Speedcast. Dora Milena held the position of Senior Sales Director, SpeedCast Americas, where they provided leadership in business development, sales direction, and coordinated with functional resources to drive growth opportunities for Speedcast. Dora Milena eventually became the VP Sales/Sales Operations/LATAM - EEM at SpeedCast, overseeing the overall sales organization and optimizing sales processes.

Currently, Mejia holds the position of VP Sales EEM LATAM at Speedcast, where they continue to drive sales and ensure the effectiveness and productivity of the sales organization.

Dora Milena Mejia earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Electronic Engineering, specializing in Telecommunications, at Universidad del Cauca.
