Hannes Unterholzner has been working in the field of Machine Learning and Speech Recognition since 2018. Hannes started their career as an ASR Research Intern at Fondazione Bruno Kessler - FBK, where they were involved in ASR development for the CHiME-5 challenge, tackling the problem of distant multi-microphone conversational speech with main contribution in neural channel selection. Hannes also did data analysis and visualisation, speech enhancement, speech recognition and system combination. Hannes presented a poster at the CHiME-5 workshop in Hyderabad (IND), attended by 150 peers from academia and industry. In 2019, they joined Speechmatics\u00ae as a Machine Learning Engineer and Speech Recognition Engineer, and later as a Speech Recognition Intern.
Hannes Unterholzner graduated with a MSc with distinction in Information and Computer Engineering from Technische Universit?t Graz in 2019. Prior to this, they obtained a BSc in Electrical Engineering and Audio Engineering from Technische Universit?t Graz in 2016, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering and Audio Engineering from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in 2016.
