Robyn Alper

Vice President of Customer Service Human Resources at Charter Communications

Robyn Alper began their career in January of 1985 as a Senior Director of Human Resources at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. Robyn was quickly recognized as a key player in the company for their ability to navigate complex issues and their knack for creative solutions. In 2011, when the company moved its global headquarters, Robyn was chosen to lead the internal communications effort, working closely with vendors and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.

During their time at Starwood, Robyn also played a pivotal role in multiple right-sizing programs, working with the Chief Marketing Officer and other key leaders to optimize the redesign process. Robyn was able to secure buy-in from leadership for a wage lift across the Call Center that improved recruitment efforts, and they implemented incentive compensation plans that led to improved employee performance.

Robyn is known for their strong employee relations skills, from issue resolution and investigations to more complex legal assessments. Robyn has also partnered with community leaders to establish programs that foster work-readiness and business literacy.

In June of 2016, Robyn Alper transitioned to their current role as Vice President of Customer Service Human Resources at Charter Communications. In this role, they oversee the human resources function for customer service, including recruitment, training, development, and retention. Under their leadership, the team has been able to improve customer satisfaction scores and reduce turnover rates.

Robyn Alper has a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies from the University of Maryland and a Master's Degree in Human Resources Development from American University. Robyn also has certification from SHRM in Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and from Society for Human Resources Management in Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Additionally, they have certification from Dale Carnegie Training in Present With Impact.
