Hugo J. Martinez has had a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and telecommunications. Hugo J. started their career at Broadview Networks as a Network Engineer, where they provided support and maintenance for legacy network infrastructure. Hugo J. then moved on to EmbraceCORTEL Technologies as a Hosted PBX Engineer, where they were responsible for setting up and managing hosted PBX systems. After that, they worked at Consolidated Technologies as a Project Manager, specializing in VoIP systems deployment. Following this, they joined BT Global Services as a Network Engineer Tier 2, and was involved in supporting and troubleshooting enterprise data network infrastructure for multinational companies. Their most recent position was at Spectrotel, where they served as the Director of Engineering and Cloud Services. The role involved overseeing the engineering and cloud services department.

Hugo J. Martinez attended DeVry University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications throughout their career. In December 2007, they received the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) certification from Cisco Systems. Furthermore, they obtained the Strictly Business - Immersion Seminar certification from Dale Carnegie & Associates Inc in June 2015. In January 2016, they obtained the Fortinet Network Security Expert 3 certification from Fortinet. Most recently, in March 2019, they attained the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, as well as the Cisco Certified Specialists - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation and Cisco Certified Specialists - Enterprise Core certifications, all from Cisco.
