Mitchell Bennett is a Design and Product Engineer at Spectrolab since September 2018, where responsibilities include defining program documentation for space-grade solar panels and overseeing new product designs for solar cells and laser power converters. Previously, as a Wafer Process Engineer, Mitchell led process development for innovative solar cell architectures and maintained performance modeling databases. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Associate at The George Washington University, focusing on photovoltaic fabrication at the US Naval Research Laboratory, and as a Processing Engineer at Sotera Defense Solutions, where Mitchell worked on III-V semiconductor materials for photovoltaics and infrared detectors. An academic background includes a Master's degree in Materials Science and a Bachelor's degree in Physics, both from the Rochester Institute of Technology, with involvement in solar cell research during graduate studies and an internship at NASA Glenn Research Center.
