Pierluigi Freni is a seasoned project manager at LIFTT since September 2020, focusing on investment opportunities in deep-tech sectors such as photonics and AI. Concurrently, Freni serves as a board member for Spectō Photonics and mentors startups in the Techstars Smart Mobility Accelerator and Techstars Transformative World programs. Previously, Freni was an innovation specialist at LINKS Foundation, managing blockchain-related tools and projects, and founded Sherlock S.r.l., developing a GPS-based anti-theft device for bicycles. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Materials Science and a double degree in Materials Engineering and Industrial Management, Freni combines extensive research and entrepreneurial experience to drive innovation and growth in various industries.
