Pete Shimkus has over 20 years of work experience in various roles, starting as a Professional Engineer at Dibble Engineering Inc in 2000. Pete later served as Vice President at Armstrong Development Properties from 2005 to 2013, and then as Vice President at First Street Development from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they became Managing Director at CBRE, where they worked until 2019. From 2019 to 2022, they served as VP of Commercial Solutions at Redaptive, Inc. In 2022, they co-founded Specifx Data.

Pete Shimkus studied at Arizona State University from 1996 to 2001, where they completed a BSE in Civil Engineering. In addition, they obtained certifications as a LEED AP from the US Green Building Council and as a Registered Professional Engineer from the Arizona Board of Technical Registration.
