Deon Brown, M.A., CCC-SLP, currently serves as the Support and Compliance Manager at Specialized Assessment & Consulting since June 2021, focusing on ensuring schools provide necessary services for student success. Prior to this role, Deon was the Owner and Speech Language Pathologist at Speech-Gap Connections, delivering speech and language services in West Houston/Katy from January 2019 to October 2021. Deon's experience includes working as a Speech Language Pathologist at Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and Katy ISD, providing assessments and therapy for elementary students, and managing compliance with educational requirements. From August 2007 to June 2017, Deon worked at Ann Arbor Public Schools, collaborating with educators and families to support students with communication disorders, and previously coordinated speech services at Taylor School District for preschool populations. Deon holds a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Eastern Michigan University, earned between 2003 and 2005.
