Danny Mortensen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in grant management and program support within public health and community development sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Manager for Healthy Communities at Special Olympics since August 2020, Danny Mortensen liaises with regional offices and state chapters to distribute grant funds that enhance health education and fitness for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Prior roles include Grants Manager and Programs and Operations Analyst at KABOOM!, where Danny Mortensen managed grant documentation and provided support for playground builds. Additional experience includes project coordination at the Center for Workforce Inclusion and administrative roles at Sojourners and Lamar University. Danny Mortensen holds a B.A. in Sociology from Lamar University.
