Hank Zemola has been in the event management industry since 1985 when they became the Executive Director of the Chicago Area Runners Association. In this role, they advocated for runners' rights, organized events, and set standards for the running community. Hank produced over 60 running events annually, focusing on assisting not-for-profit organizations with fundraising through run and walking events.
In 1988, Zemola became the CEO of Chicago Running and Special Events Management Inc., Chicago Special Events, and Special Events Management. The company employed over 150 seasonal workers and specialized in cause related runs and walks, marathons, fairs and festivals, concerts, and trade show exhibits for Fortune 500 companies. Overall, Zemola has extensive experience in event management and has held leadership positions in prominent organizations in the industry.
Hank Zemola earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they studied from 1972 to 1974.
