John Montgomery, SIOR MRED, is an accomplished real estate professional currently serving as Managing Director at Colliers since January 2022 and as CEO of Montgomery Development Group, a firm specializing in self-storage, commercial, and historic rehabilitation projects in Upstate South Carolina, since October 2015. Additionally, John Montgomery serves as Commissioner of Public Works for Spartanburg Water, having been elected for a six-year term starting in November 2011. Previously, John Montgomery held the position of Vice President at Colliers International and at Pacolet Milliken Enterprises, Inc., and served as Spartanburg Area Executive for both Carolina First and The South Financial Group. John Montgomery's educational background includes a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in European History from The University of the South.
