Juan Pablo Ávila Artavia has a range of work experience in the field of software development. Juan Pablo worked as a Backend Developer at Spartan Approach starting from 2020. Prior to that, they were a Java Developer at Rivet Logic Corporation from 2013 to 2020. Juan Pablo also worked at Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) as a Software Developer in 2012. Juan Pablo Ávila Artavia started their career as an Assistant Developer at Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica in 2010, where they programmed a small module in PHP to improve the customization of the virtual classroom (Moodle) and assisted in the improvement of the master's program homepage (Joomla).

Juan Pablo Ávila Artavia attended the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Ingeniería en Sistemas de Información (Systems Engineering).
