Cornelis Tump has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Cornelis began their career as a Scientist at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 1998. From 1999 to 2001, they served as a Ph.D. Student at the department of Molecular Toxicology and Pharmacochemistry at the same institution. After completing their Ph.D., Tump worked at Xendo Laboratories B.V. as a Scientist and then as a Method Development Supervisor. In 2004, they became the Section Head chromatography for preclinical studies at Xendo Drug Development B.V. Cornelis later joined QPS Netherlands B.V. in 2009 as the Competence Manager for Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry. Tump then progressed to become the Manager Analytical Research at Spark Holland in 2014. Finally, in 2015, they were promoted to the role of R&D Director at the same company, where they currently hold this position.
Cornelis Tump studied at the Chr. Scholengemeenschap Damstede in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 1988 to 1994 and completed their VWO. Cornelis then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biology, General at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 1994 to 1999.
