Matthew Schaefer is an accomplished culinary professional with extensive experience in various roles within the hospitality industry. Currently serving as Executive Chef at Spanish Oaks Golf Club since October 2011, Matthew previously held the position of Executive Sous Chef at Escondido Golf and Lake Club for a short period in 2011. Prior to that, Matthew worked as a Sous Chef for Discovery Land Company from April 2006 to October 2010 and as Banquet Lead at Marriott International from May 2005 to April 2006. Early culinary experience includes a role as a Line Cook at Siena Ristorante Toscana from October 2004 to April 2006. Matthew holds an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training from Texas Culinary Academy, completed in 2005.
