Shana Diez is an accomplished aerospace engineer with extensive experience at SpaceX, where roles have included Director of Starship Engineering, Principal Engineer, Director of Change Engineering, Director of Build Reliability, Manager of Reusability Development, Manager of Propulsion Analysis and System Lead for the Grasshopper Testbed Vehicle, and Propulsion Engineer and Analyst. Key contributions to SpaceX include leading multidisciplinary teams, managing software projects for space systems, and ensuring hardware reliability within the production process. Prior to joining SpaceX, Shana Diez worked as a Propulsion Engineer at Blue Origin and participated in NASA's Professional Internship Program focused on the Space Shuttle Program. Shana Diez holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
