Eric Yang is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. Currently serving as an intern at NASA Ames Research Center, Eric has automated CFD workflows using ANSYS, OpenFoam, and NASA’s LAVA code for aerodynamic analysis of airfoil cases. As the Simulations and Propulsion Project Manager and Simulations Engineer at Space Enterprise at Berkeley, Eric has optimized rocket designs and developed essential skills in manufacturing and systems integration. Additional experience includes programming flight simulations in the Pister Lab at UC Berkeley EECS, conducting electronics testing for the Background and Transient Observer project at the Space Sciences Laboratory, mentoring new developers at MDB, and validating aerostructure integrity as Simulation Lead for UC Berkeley Design Build Fly. Prior research experience includes a bioinformatics project at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine.
