Daniel Handford is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the engineering sector, currently working at Space Engine Systems since January 2020. Prior roles include positions at Innovative Fuel Systems and Benchmark Instrumentation & Analytical Services, both as a mechanical engineer, as well as serving as an engineering consultant at Checkel Engineering. Early career experience includes a role as a mechanical designer at Astronomical Instrumentation Group and a student product engineer at Siemens VDO Automotive, Inc. Daniel Handford holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Alberta, completed between 2006 and 2014.
