Lukas Autenried

Operations Research Analyst at SPA

Lukas Autenried has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Lukas is currently working as an Operations Research Analyst at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. since May 2022. Prior to that, Lukas worked as a Senior Analyst at The Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies from March 2020 to April 2022. Lukas also served as an Analyst at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA) from April 2018 to March 2020. Lukas gained research experience as a Research Assistant at The World Bank from August 2017 to April 2018. Lukas also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Macroeconomics and International Trade Theory at The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) from August 2016 to May 2017 and in June 2016, respectively. Lukas has further professional experience as a Graduate Intern at the U.S. Department of State in the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs from July 2016 to September 2016. Additionally, they held internships at The Wilson Center as a Canada Institute Staff Intern from September 2014 to December 2014, and at the Center for Effective Government as an Open Government Policy Intern from May 2014 to August 2014. Lukas began their professional career as an Elementary School Teacher through Teach For America from June 2012 to July 2013. Lukas also worked as a Legislative Intern for Senator Tim Johnson in the United States Senate from May 2011 to December 2011.

Lukas Autenried obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Government and History from Georgetown University in the years 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Urban Education at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education from 2012 to 2015. Lukas then enrolled at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Strategic Studies and International Economics from 2015 to 2017. In terms of additional certifications, Lukas Autenried obtained the following: they became STK Grand Master (Level 3) Certified by AGI (Analytical Graphics, Inc.) in January 2023, completed the Orbit Determination Tool Kit (ODTK) certification in May 2022, and acquired the Test and Evaluation Tool Kit (TETK) certification in March 2021, both from AGI.
