Karen Pearson has a diverse work experience starting from their internship at Systems Planning and Analysis in 2006. From 2007 to 2012, they worked at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as a Navigation Analyst, where they gained experience in system testing and evaluation. In 2012, they transitioned to the role of Trends Report Project Manager, where they coordinated inputs from major subsystem analysts and presented results to sponsors and fleet commands. From 2015 to 2021, Karen worked at the University of Maryland as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on quantifying seismic events and aftershocks in the Central and Eastern US. Currently, they are working as a Research Scientist at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. starting in 2021.
