Eric Bader has a diverse work experience spanning several fields. Eric also held positions as Executive Officer at Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, Legislative Fellow for the Department of Homeland Security assigned to the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, Aeronautical Engineering Officer, Systems Engineer at the US Coast Guard Office of Aeronautical Engineering, Rotary Wing Aeronautical Engineering Officer at Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, Duty Standing Aviator/Law Enforcement Officer, Student Naval Aviator at U.S. Navy Flight School, and Assistant Engineering Officer on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Tahoma.

Eric Bader began their education at the US Coast Guard Academy from 1990 to 1994, where they pursued a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. After a gap, they furthered their education at George Mason University - College of Engineering and Computing from 2005 to 2006, obtaining a master's degree in Operations Research.
